Daxxify

Daxxify is an FDA-approved injectable neuromodulator used to treat dynamic wrinkles, most commonly frown lines (glabellar lines). Like other neuromodulators, it contains botulinum toxin type A, which temporarily relaxes targeted facial muscles to smooth wrinkles.
What makes Daxxify unique is its proprietary Peptide Exchange Technology™ (PXT). Instead of using human or animal byproducts as stabilizers, Daxxify uses a novel peptide, making it a vegan-friendly neuromodulator designed for longer-lasting results.

Daxxify works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that causes muscle contraction. By temporarily relaxing the treated muscles, Daxxify smooths wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movement.
Its peptide-based stabilizer enhances attachment to nerve receptors, allowing more of the active ingredient to reach its target. This unique formulation contributes to faster onset and longer-lasting results compared to traditional neuromodulators.

Daxxify is most commonly used to treat:

Frown lines between the eyebrows (“11s”)
Forehead lines
Crow’s feet around the eyes

While it is FDA-approved for glabellar lines, experienced providers may use Daxxify off-label in other areas when appropriate. Your provider will recommend treatment areas based on your facial anatomy and goals.

Many patients begin to see results within 1–2 days, with full effects visible within 10–14 days. Daxxify can last up to 6–9 months for some patients, though results vary based on metabolism, muscle strength, and treatment area.
By comparison, Botox typically lasts 3–4 months, and Dysport lasts up to 5 months. Treatment timing and total dosing are always carefully considered for safety and optimal results.

Daxxify injections are quick and typically take 15–30 minutes. Very fine needles are used, and most patients describe the sensation as brief pinches or pressure. There is little to no downtime, and most patients return to normal activities the same day.

Daxxify, Botox, and Dysport all use botulinum toxin type A to relax muscles and smooth wrinkles. The primary difference is longevity.
