MOXI

Brighten Skin, Soften Fine Lines, and Even Your Tone With Minimal Downtime

Serving Greater Sacramento in Rocklin, CA

A gentle laser that works under the surface, so your skin gets brighter without your calendar taking the hit.

Most people wait until there's a problem. MOXI is for the ones who don't want to wait. It's a non-ablative fractional laser, which means it works beneath the surface of your skin without removing the top layer. That's why the downtime is so short.

We recommend MOXI to patients in their twenties and thirties who want to stay ahead of aging, and to patients of any age who want brighter, more even skin without disappearing for a week. It works year-round, and it's safe across a wide range of skin tones, which isn't something we can say about every laser we own.

At Be You Medical, we offer complimentary consultations to make sure this treatment is right for you and to build a plan around your skin. For a contact-free consultation, text 916-223-9361 today. If you're looking for skin laser treatment in Greater Sacramento, you're in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does MOXI work?

MOXI is a non-ablative fractional laser. It delivers energy beneath the surface of your skin without removing the top layer, which prompts your skin to renew itself and push old pigment out. Because the surface stays intact, the downtime is short. Most people are through it in four to five days.

What does MOXI improve?
  • Sun damage and early brown spots
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Fine lines
  • Large pores
  • Mild rough texture
  • Overall brightness
What areas can be treated with MOXI?

Face, neck, and chest, alone or in combination.

Does MOXI make sense if my skin is already good?

That's exactly who it's for. MOXI is preventive. It's easier to keep skin looking good than to fix it after fifteen years of sun. If you're in your twenties or thirties and nothing is wrong yet, this is the one we'd start you on.

How is MOXI different from Clear + Brilliant?

They're in the same family: both are gentle, non-ablative, low-downtime brightening treatments. MOXI runs at a wavelength that goes after pigment a little more directly, and we can dial the intensity up further when someone needs more. If you've had Clear + Brilliant here and liked it, you don't have to switch. If you want a bit more result per session, MOXI is the step up.

What happens during a MOXI treatment?

Plan on 30 to 45 minutes of numbing time before we start. The treatment itself is quick, about 10 to 15 minutes for your face. Warm and prickly. Very doable.

Does getting a MOXI hurt?

With numbing cream, most people find it very manageable. Warm and prickly. Plan on 30 to 45 minutes of numbing before we start.

Why does my skin feel like sandpaper after my MOXI treatment?

That's the treatment working. Tiny dark specks come to the surface as pigment lifts out, and the texture goes rough for a few days before it sheds. Around day 4 or 5 it's gone and your skin is brighter underneath.

When can I wear makeup after a MOXI?

Most people are back in makeup by day 2 or 3.

Can I do MOXI in the summer?

Yes. This is one of the few resurfacing treatments that's genuinely fine year-round. You still need to wear sunscreen.

Is MOXI safe for deeper skin tones?

It's the safest laser we own for a wide range of skin tones. We'll still take your history and adjust settings, but this is often the answer when someone isn't a candidate for our stronger options.

Will MOXI fix my acne scars?

No. MOXI improves tone, brightness, and mild texture. Acne scarring needs HALO TRIBRID or ProFractional. If someone tells you a gentle laser will erase deep scars, they're selling.

Should I get MOXI or HALO?

MOXI is for staying ahead. Gentle, short downtime. HALO is for fixing. It goes deeper and asks more of your calendar. In your twenties or thirties with good skin you want to keep? MOXI. Real texture change, scars, or sun damage you want gone? HALO.

We'll tell you which one you actually need at your consultation. Even if it's the cheaper one. Learn about HALO TRIBRID.

How many MOXI treatments will I need?

Most patients do 3–5 treatments, 4–5 weeks apart, then come back yearly to maintain. One MOXI is nice. A series is what actually changes your skin.

Can I work out after getting a MOXI?

Skip the gym the day of your treatment. Sweat and heat on freshly treated skin isn't worth it. You're fine the next day.

Can I do MOXI and BBL the same day?

Yes, and a lot of patients do. MOXI and BBL are better together, and we run them in one appointment all the time. MOXI works under the surface on texture and brightness, while BBL HEROic works on the surface on color (brown spots and redness). Together, they cover the whole picture.

Meet The Team

Be You Medical offers MOXI laser treatments to brighten skin, even tone, and soften fine lines with minimal downtime, year-round and across a wide range of skin tones.

MOXI at Be You Medical is a 1927 nm non-ablative fractional laser treatment that delivers energy beneath the skin's surface without removing the outer layer. The treatment targets early sun damage, uneven tone, fine lines, enlarged pores, and mild texture irregularities, with most patients returning to normal activity within four to five days. Because MOXI is non-ablative and lower in pigment risk than ablative resurfacing, it can be performed year-round and is appropriate for a broader range of skin tones. Results build across a series of treatments and are maintained with periodic sessions.
