SkinVive is an injectable skin booster. It's a hyaluronic acid gel placed into your skin in tiny microdroplets to improve hydration, smoothness, and glow. It's the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid microdroplet injection for improving skin smoothness of the cheeks, and it's performed in-office by our injectors.

It is not a filler, and it is not a facial or a peel.

No. SkinVive is made from hyaluronic acid, the same family of ingredients as fillers like Juvéderm, but it's used completely differently.

A filler is placed in one area to add volume and change shape: a fuller cheek, a more defined chin, a bigger lip. SkinVive is spread across the skin in microdroplets to improve the quality of the skin itself. It doesn't add volume and it doesn't change your facial structure. The goal is healthier, glowier skin, not a different face. Learn about our fillers.

SkinVive is designed to improve the overall quality and hydration of your skin, including:

• Dry, dull, tired-looking skin
• Rough or uneven texture
• Fine lines and crepiness
• Loss of glow and radiance

If your main concern is volume loss, deep folds, or sagging, a filler or a tightening treatment is likely a better fit. We'll tell you that at your consultation.

Your injector places very small droplets of product into the deeper layer of your skin using an ultrafine needle. Each droplet is tiny, a fraction of what goes into a single filler injection.

Once it's in, the hyaluronic acid supports your skin's natural ability to hold onto water. Better-hydrated skin reflects light differently and simply behaves better: it looks smoother, feels softer, and reads as healthier.

SkinVive is FDA-approved to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks in adults over 21, and the cheeks are where we treat. If residual product remains after your cheeks are treated, your injector may place it along the cheekbones or smile lines for added hydration.

Most patients tolerate it very well. The needle is very fine (32 gauge) and the product contains lidocaine for comfort. You'll feel small pinches across the treatment area. It's quick, and most patients describe it as easily manageable.

Minimal. Right after your treatment you'll see small bumps at each injection site. That's normal and it means the product is exactly where it should be. They settle within a few hours to a few days.

You may also have some redness, mild swelling, tenderness, bruising, firmness, or itching. Most of that resolves within about a week, though milder effects can linger anywhere from one to four weeks. Your injector will walk you through aftercare before you leave.

Most patients start noticing a difference within about a week, and your skin keeps improving over the following weeks. We assess your full result at a one-month follow-up and decide together whether more product would help.

Results generally last around 3-6 months. We recommend maintenance about every six months to keep it.

SkinVive is a great fit if your skin looks dry, dull, or tired, if you want better skin quality without changing the shape of your face, or if you want something that layers well with the treatments you already do.

It's not recommended if you have an active skin infection, acne flare, rash, or open wound in the treatment area, a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine, a history of significant facial swelling, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. If you've had a dental procedure recently or have one coming up, tell us at your consultation.

Come in with clean skin and let us know about any recent or upcoming dental work, and about any laser or energy treatments in the past two weeks.

For the first 24 hours afterward, skip strenuous exercise, heat exposure (saunas, steam, hot tubs, hot showers), and alcohol. Don't touch or massage the treatment area unless your injector tells you to. Keep your skincare gentle for a few days, wear sunscreen, and drink water. Hydration from the inside helps this treatment do its job.
