SkinTyte
Firm the Neck, Jawline, and Body. No Needles, No Surgery, No Downtime
Frequently Asked Questions
How does SkinTyte work?
SkinTyte sends light deep into your skin, where it turns into heat. That heat tightens the collagen you already have, and it tells your body to build new collagen, which shows up slowly over the months that follow.
Will SkinTyte replace a facelift?
No. If anyone tells you a non-surgical treatment will do what surgery does, walk out. SkinTyte works on mild to moderate looseness: a jawline that's softening, a neck that's starting to crepe. If you have significant hanging skin, we'll say so at your consultation and talk about what actually would help.
What areas can you treat with SkinTyte?
Neck, jawline and lower face, chest, belly, arms, hands, and knees.
Does getting SkinTyte hurt?
No. It's deep warmth in waves as the handpiece moves. Most patients find it relaxing, which is not a word anyone uses about our other lasers. No numbing needed.
Is there any downtime for SkinTyte?
None. You'll have some pink and warmth for an hour. You can wear makeup, go back to work, and work out the next day.
How many SkinTyte treatments will I need?
SkinTyte is a series treatment. Most patients do 3–5 treatments, 4–8 weeks apart, then come back quarterly or yearly to hold it.
Can I just do one SkinTyte treatment to see?
You can, but you probably won't see much. This treatment builds. One session is not a fair test of it, which is why we price and plan it as a series.
How long until I see results of my SkinTyte?
There's a small amount of immediate tightening from the collagen you already have. The real change is new collagen your body builds, and that takes time. Expect to start noticing it around the first treatment, with improvement continuing for months after your last session. This is a patient person's treatment.
How long do the results of SkinTyte last?
You'll keep aging, so the results soften over time. Results can last 12 months or longer with maintenance.
How is SkinTyte different from Ultherapy?
Different energy, different feel, different commitment. Ultherapy uses ultrasound, goes deeper, is done in fewer sessions, and is considerably more uncomfortable. SkinTyte uses light-based heat, is comfortable enough to do on a lunch break, and works as a series instead of a single event. Neither is better. They suit different patients and different tolerance for discomfort. We offer both and we'll tell you which one fits you.
Am I too young for SkinTyte?
Probably, if nothing has changed yet. SkinTyte is most worth your money when there's early laxity to work on. If you're under 30 with firm skin, we'd point you toward MOXI instead.
Am I a good candidate for SkinTyte?
Most people with mild to moderate laxity are. Skip it if you:
- Are pregnant
- Have a fresh tan, or have sun planned
- Take medicine that makes you sensitive to light
- Have taken Accutane recently
- Have an active infection or open skin in the area
We'll go through the full list at your consultation.
Can I combine SkinTyte with other treatments?
Yes. Because it doesn't break the surface, it layers easily. The most common pairing is BBL for color plus SkinTyte for firmness, often in the same visit. Learn about BBL HEROic.
